Let us first acknowledge that the WS-70 holds an edge over the Xi2 on ice.
Let us also acknowledge that the WS-70 holds an edge over the Xi2 in snow, especially deeper snow.
However, on clear roads, dry roads, et cetera, the Xi2 will be quieter, better handling, and generally feel more like an all season tire than the WS-70.

I do not like that the Xi2 is "Green X", Michelin's low rolling resistance, because low rolling resistance has only one real drive - you sacrifice traction.

To me, a minor increase in fuel efficiency is not worth a minor decrease in traction. In fact, a moderate increase in fuel efficiency is not worth a minor decrease in traction.

Got cut off multiple times on the way home from school.

Also had some woman in front of me for 2-3 miles, she's doing no better than the speed limit, and eventually we get caught at a double lane set of lights. I pull up alongside, so I'll finally get around her. Light goes green, and she decides to launch for it. Now, keep in mind, she hasn't cleared the speed limit once before this. I take it up to 60, in a speed zone that shall not be named, and get in front of her. She rides my bumper for about a minute, and then fades back into her dull little world of speed limit or under cruising.

Seriously, lady, now you're just being a fucking wise and beautiful woman.

Get home, there's no power. The power company fucked up again. First we were out for almost four days after the snow storm, today, another 3.5 hours, for no real reason. Rest of the town was fine, but nothing was down here.

I'm staying home for the rest of the night.
