Probably just to have it since I was close. Let's be honest here -- I basically have it but didn't complete a couple of formalities. I personally believe the MSEE is one of the most prestigious Master's degrees you can get. An MBA? Pfffftt, give me a break. It might have wider application but an MSEE is much harder to obtain.

I was thinking a little earlier and I think I've come to the realization that being a EE was probably at its height in the 70s and 80s. So many different platforms to work on and it was such an exciting time for technology.

Now we have BSMS programs, so you can get an MSEE in effectively one year, with or without a thesis option.
