Okay, Nivon is some sort of society in the Netherlands for nature and culture. Cabin generally means a small building of simple wooden construction.

So, Nikon versus Canon.

Lenses:
With the exception of that wonderful L series, it's fairly even. I wish Nikon had an answer to L, but they don't.
 
Image quality: if you really want, I'll go pull a few dozen test shots from various websites, sanitize any tagging they might have, and you can try to figure out which ones were shot by Canon, and which by Nikon.
