Regarding the 2006 G35 lineup...
Front sway bars...
RWD: 26.8mm
AWD: 31.7mm

Rear sway bars...
RWD: 24.4mm
AWD: 17.7mm

Now, let's also make a note here, a sway bar's stiffness is a function of a few things, such as stiffness of the material, but really, it's all about thickness - a fourth power function of the bar radius.

The AWD has been designed for more understeer characteristics, largely on the idea that it will see worse weather.

So far, I've side-slipped once, and that was lift-off oversteer on wet pavement. But that's irrelevant.

For a FWD, dealing with snow/ice oversteer is really, really easy. Dealing with it on a RWD/AWD platform is different, I haven't gotten an encounter yet.

But... the complication. The G35x is RWD, but then if it detects slip, it throws up to 50% of the power into the front wheels.

But this is mostly a digression.

My immediate reaction to seeing those sway bar figures is... find a RWD G35 sway bar, and install it into my car. :awe:

Oh, somebody has AWD sway bars! Hotchkis has a set. 35mm front, 24mm rear.

So those are 3mm bigger than the stock front, and 7mm bigger than the rear stock, although marginally smaller than the RWD rear stock.
