My black cat is so chill, had to bring him to the vet and he's just purring the entire time while being examined. Nurse had trouble getting his heart beat because the purring was so loud lol.

Car accident?
Yes. I was almost to my work exit (freeway) and I noticed that the westbound traffic (I'm going eastbound) was slow and heavy. Then, I noticed that the traffic that was entering from the highway was not moving. I'm about to hit my exit and traffic is not moving. I eventually made it over to my exit. I hear sirens and see emergency vehicles. I then see an accident on the access road to the right. I see one car that's got a smushed in front end. I then see a vehicle that is turned over on its side. It look like it came from the freeway due to the marks in the grass. There is a person who looks like they have been pulled out of the wreckage. They're still alive, but it would be easy to assume that this person probably didn't make it or is in the hospital in critical condition. There is someone with them holding their hands. I have to pay attention to the road or I might have seen more.

Kind of sobering right before work. It takes me a while to process all that I have witnessed. At some point, I start feeling empathy that I hadn't felt in the moment. I start to think about the victim and all those that love him. I wonder if I'm just jaded from all the online stuff and the news. I put myself in the victim's shoes and all these feelings came out.

Damn, yeah that's a crappy sight to see.

Saw someone on a bike get smacked once, that was pretty shocking to witness and be part of. Cyclist basically drove into the road from a 1 way street, the wrong way and got smacked by a passing car. Saw it happen right in my rear view mirror, as I just happened to be looking at it when it happened. Stayed on the scene and waited for ambulance and police and gave my statement and such. A situation like that can really shake up your day even if it's not your fault or you're not even involved. It's a wakeup call though to be more cautious when driving, walking, cycling etc. These things happen so fast.
