The Saints/Packers would be the ultimate Superbowl, but well, obviously that won't be.

Well, really, my idea of an ultimate Superbowl would be Patriots @ Packers in a blizzard.

I know, I know.

But think about it.

Bitter?

I'm bitter that Polian didn't let them finish out the regular season 16-0 a couple of years ago, because they would've easily done it had Manning and company not been benched.

I'm bitter that Polian ignored the offensive line and kept our idiot defensive coordinator, because there is no way the Saints should've beaten the Colts in SB 44 especially after the Colts jumped out to a lead and were kicking their asses in the first quarter.

I'm bitter that Polian and Irsay decided to hand the franchise to Polian's son Chris as GM and an inept buffoon like Caldwell as coach and have wasted the career of possibly the best QB ever to play.

Yes, I'm bitter.

Yeah, so both of our teams have blown amazing opportunities.

Of all that, the last bit actually bothers me. Manning is truly incredible, and he's been squandered with the Colts, between inept management, and, well, 1st of the 1st, they clearly weren't a good team before that. What could Peyton have been with a really good team, and with a really good coach? Perfect season, multiple consecutive rings, and every record in the book. One ring for someone of that caliber is not as many as his skill deserves.

That's right.

Manning always got the blame for the "chokes" in the playoffs, etc. but this season shows that Manning was the only one keeping things together. The Super Bowl win did eliminate many of the choker screams, but I think this season stands as his final vindication and proves that the Polians (mostly Chris) are to blame. The Patriots seem to be able to get some good free agents even with paying Brady a lot of money, so I don't know why Polian didn't do the same particularly on defense.

The biggest two differences between the Patriots and Colts: Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick. In so many ways, that's why this team works, and your team, sans Peyton, doesn't.

I love history. Spend five hours reading 200-300 pages in a full-size textbook, get an A on the test. Attendance be damned! And if I'm there, I just play with my phone all day.

Let's consider the AFC.

Patriots, Ravens, Steelers.

I assume we can agree there is no fourth.

a few short weeks ago, I woulda said Houston as a 4th, and there is no 5.
Now that they are on IR: yup those 3.

I'm biased towards the Balimer Ravens. However, they are not as consistent as the other two.

I think the Steelers are third in the conference. It'll be the Patriots or the Ravens in my opinion.

I don't trust the Ravens or I would say it would be them. In preseason, I said the conference would be between the Ravens and Steelers but I can't pick the Ravens until they prove to me that they can win the big game.
