How far is the lake? Maybe a solar driven incline bucket convayor up to a water tower and gravity feed to your cabin area
You should have a grey water system as well, the waste water from RO can go to that tank and you can flush toilet or water plants with that water. It's like 5km away so I'd be trucking the water in with an IBC tote. Although I might make a water trailer using one or two 55 gal drums that I can haul with the ATV. Then it would get pumped into the tower. Long term goal is to have a large pool where rain water and water I truck in gets dumped into, and then it gets pumped through the filtration process before going to the tower. Probably do slow sand filtration, various membrane filters, UV and then RO as the last stage. I'd get the water tested to determine how far I need to go, as if I can skip RO that would be better to avoid so much waste. But for now I just want water that I can use for washing, mixing concrete etc. For potable water I'll just bring it from town for now.

err he can sell the 5950x to recoup some of the cost. it was obviously worth it for him. Some guy just swapped out his 5950X for a 5800 X3D. Is it really worth the time and cost just to get a few more FPS?
Again, is it worth the trouble? I'm not asking him. Seems kind of silly.err he can sell the 5950x to recoup some of the cost. it was obviously worth it for him.
It's his time/money :shrug:Again, is it worth the trouble? I'm not asking him. Seems kind of silly.
You're exhausting. If I wanted to hear "it's my money" I would have asked him. It sounds like a pointless swap. Now, if he had a 3700X, and his board supported the 5800X3D, that would be a good upgrade. But to switch out the 5950X for a 5800X3D is a downgrade, except for gaming and even that is meager. Then there is the work involved and selling your 5950X for peanuts just for a few FPS.It's his time/money
I am still on 3700X and don't see a need to upgrade.
You're not getting new prices for that 5950X.I looked on ebay and used 5800x3d is cheaper than 5950X
