You need a better lens


Yeah, but when I said I need a better camera...I meant better than the crappy one in my phone, heh. Like...any camera at all would probably do.
 
I'm probably due to upgrade my camera, I have a Nikon D7000, I imagine the cameras have improved quite a lot since that came out. I'll probably go Nikon again so I can use my existing lenses.

At that price point I wonder if it's better to just get a really high end telescope that can also mount a camera to it.

I have a cheap telephoto lens but the main issue is that it's super wobbly so it's tricky to get a good in focus shot and makes it really hard to aim as every time I touch it I need to wait for it to stop shaking. I don't think it's so much the lens itself but just the way the mount works as it relies on a single screw. Need a better system for lenses that heavy.
