Not in MY house. They're crafty little buggers. One time I had a whole family in the attic. They crawl up trees near the house, find a branch that can support their weight and then tear off the vent covers. Everything is aluminum so it's not a lot more difficult than tearing up an aluminum can.

Another time, one got trapped in the attic when they got thru a vent and the vent was replaced. Oh man, did he/she do a number on that one getting out.

Fortunately I have one of those pole saws so cutting the offending branches is no big deal. Also used about 3 times the number of staples you actually need to secure the wire mesh that protects the underside of the attic fan.

Wood stove guy never called me. Kind of having my doubts if I want to spend this kind of money though, but in the long run I will save a lot if I do get one.

Think for now I am better off focusing on getting my solar setup better, automated, and actually put the power to use towards my servers or something. And then replacing my gas water heater with an electric one. That will also save me around $20/mo from getting rid of the rental policy which I should have done a long time ago. Energy wise I will also save since electric is more efficient, and I can run it off peak with a timer.

Made a taco pizza on Friday. It was quite delicious. The sauce was cream based. Ate the whole thing!
