My MX Master 3 mouse was flashing red, telling me to recharge it. It feels weird to go with a full-sized mouse down to my backup travel/laptop mouse. The wheel on MX Master 3 is so good. The normal rubber wheel feels so odd.

I would never go to a wireless mouse
You're missing out. It's an awesome mouse. I still have the old MX Master (the original one). I keep a wired remote as the third option. Thankfully, I never have to use it.

I think I have original Logitech Optical mouse in a box somewhere. I had that thing for a lot of years. Just kept pumping in a pair of alkaline batteries ever 2-4 weeks. The first generation MX Master had micro USB to recharge the mouse. The MX Master 3 uses USB type C connector. I use the mouse for both my main rig and the home server. Got the bluetooth receiver plugged into the monitor which acts as a KVM. I do miss my hardware switch, but it did not support the resolution of my ultrawide.

My keyboard is wired. But that rarely moves so it makes since. I slathered habanero on the cable when I first got the daskeyboard. My boy chewed on the cable to my Cherry keyboard in the past. It wasn't easily replaceable like the daskeyboard one would be.

Got me a new reel today for my new electrical cord. It's not as nice or as good quality as the older one. It's smaller and not made as well. The extension cords are similar. 12-gauge, 50 ft., rubber jacket. The older electrical cord had a locking feature on the plug that is useful. The new one's plug shines green when plugged in. It looks green, not what the camera picked up here. We'll see how it performs the next time I need to use it.

Same, for something that's stationary most of the time I just don't see the point really. Wireless is good for HTPC but for workstation I prefer wired myself. Getting harder and harder to find though. When shopping 9 out of 10 will be wireless, so you're greatly limiting your choices going wired sadly.

Same with security cameras, most of them are wireless and cloud based now. Pisses me off. Every now and then I start looking at them and just get annoyed that there are slim pickings for wired local only.

You two should just get a room. Corded mice have always hung up (for me) on something. I can't say I have any noticeable delay on the mouse. The only downside is the necessity to recharge the mouse. Having a dedicated backup makes this painless. Mouse had charged up by the time I went to bed. Pretty seemless.

I don't have issues with mouse cable

Payday today, had a good pay, about 2k.

Managed to get credit line down below 10k. Going to be short lived though, property taxes and water/sewer bill come out by end of month along with a few other bills so that will bring me back to over 10k.

Next pay is going to be nice with all the OT I did recently though, should get close to 3k if I have to guess.

Bed time nef.

Vacation officially over. Damn that went by too fast. Didn't do anything since my foot hurts too much. Got that checked, getting orthotics next week. I don't know how much that's really going to help though... I have not even been walking or standing or doing anything where orthotics would help. But I did get diagnosed with morton's syndrome so I will need them either way. They did give me exercises though so hopefully those end up working. I really hope this won't ruin my summer. There's a very small window of opportunity to get stuff done outside and I already lost 1 week of that.
