One of the ferals had her ample butt parked in the middle of the backyard. Clearly, I was expected to do something for her. I poked my head out and she didn't dart of to parts unknown. That may have been a first. I meowed a couple times and you could see that she was meowing back but either she wasn't making any sounds or they were too high of a frequency for me to hear. For soft to medium sounds, that anything above 500 hertz. I know. So pathetic. But she was so cute trying to meow. Anyway, the only thing I could think of was to move the wet food bowl off of the upper VIP tier down to the "public" area. She seemed happy with that. Sigh. Kitties. So demanding.

Decent amount of snow today. Didn't bother to try the electric snow shovel though, I was clearly into snowblower territory here. :p Some of the drifts were higher than the snow blower could clear even.

It's annoying that I even have to be in the office this week, I was originally scheduled to be at home.

I came to the conclusion a long time ago that the biggest PITA part of working is having to actually GO to work.

Courtesy of wikipedia (to whom I donate monthly and so should you)

doofas edit: It was finally dinner time (which came every so close to being diner time) - aka 11PM. Went to the local greasy spoon for a couple scrambled egg and cheese sammies. Oh, and coffee. They have the best take-out coffee ever.

Well, for whatever reason, they made both with bacon. At this point it's important to explain that they deep-fry their bacon (ouch). It makes the meat very crispy (but not as crispy as in a microwave with at least 10 layers of folded paper towels to sop up the grease. I refer you to aforementioned "greasy spoon" comment) but changes the flavor. Except for the different texture added to my beloved E&C on a kaiser roll, I didn't really notice it.

For those of you actually remember that I'm vegetarian (really folks, it's not worth the effort) I should explain that I don't throw out food unless I just don't want to eat it. I know that dings whatever veggie cred I've established here thus far, but I love big bacon, I cannot lie.

She enjoys vegetarian animals

Now Twitter is having trouble. Maybe it's a sign to get off social media for the day. :p

Wonder if it's a CDN or something in my area that's having trouble. It's not like stuff is down hard, just getting errors.

I've been having similar issues for maybe a month. Lags, dropouts, etc. My leading candidates are 1) ISP, 2) running BOINC full bore in the background.
