why is it that the android system update routine can't read the setting from play store to allow it to download system updates over cellular without my intervention? yeah, i'm really concerned this 9.1 MB virus update is going to suck down my unlimited data plan. worse still, when you tell it to use cellular it changes the button you want to push from the right side of the screen to the left, putting 'connect to wifi' where your finger is already hovering. have some sense.

Layla got spayed yesterday. She’s sleeping it off today. She’s a rent-to-own kitty so we had to get her teeth fixed and get her spayed before the shelter will release her to us. They neglected to mention the not fixed part but all is well so formal adoption will be finished next week.

Oso got on the bed and stayed with me for about a half hour. This seems trivial but it's a big step in trust building. He was abused by his previous person so building trust and building up his self confidence is a very slow process. He likes to play string now so that is another avenue for positive interaction with people.

The theft issue in my city is so bad that even shoplifting is just a normal thing now and nothing can be done.

So sad to see my city deteriorate like this, it used to be a nice place to live but now I just have constant anxiety about getting stuff stolen. Like I plugged in my truck tonight. Will my extension cord even still be there by tomorrow? They steal anything.

Yeah, I reported a person that just wheeled a cart full of stuff out the IN door to an employee. No one would do a damn thing. Pissed me off. Why would I want to support a company that just didn't care? i might as well wheel my own free cart load of groceries out the door each week.

Oso snuggled up with my wife last night and allowed himself to be petted. This is the first time he's allowed us to touch him in the two months we've had him.
We need to get him the point where we can handle him because he needs a dental and stuffing a cat into a carrier isn't fun with a cat who doesn't want to be touched at all.Snow ,changing over to rain.(Read:sloppy mess on the roads and sidewalks..)

Something finally clicked in Oso's brain and he spent forty five minutes snorgling with me this morning. This is the first time I've heard him purr.Oso snuggled up with my wife last night and allowed himself to be petted. This is the first time he's allowed us to touch him in the two months we've had him.
