Word documents or spreadsheets without images. Though some photos now and then for personal use.
I'll estimate 10 pages per day. It's our only color printer.

It's one of three printers around here. An ancillary device - not the workhorse.

Then go mono laser. No reason to pay for colour printing for that. Brother is good for that. You only replace the drum at 12k pages.

Do go for a business class, last longer.

200 pages a month is a joke. I have a MFC-8480DN

I'm still using the toner that came with my Brother printer at least 10 years ago (was still living with my parents). I think it's almost out though, the prints arn't as nice. I kinda want to get a colour but I don't really print enough to justify it. I would want to go semi office grade if I went as consumer grade colour is probably going to be built right down to a price.

What I'd like too is one that has a scanner that can email a jpeg via the ethernet interface. Most of the ones that email use PDF. That is such a useless format for images, you can't do anything with it.

I don't scan/print enough though so it's one of those things I have not looked too deeply into. I could see myself taking advantage of colour prints though especially when I make CAD stuff for things I want to build or what not.

you may need to shake the toner lol

I infrequently use our inkjet. But the wife uses it enough for the heads not to dry out. I use the generic cartridges sold on Amazon. If the printer goes, I just buy another all in one printer.

I have a Canon. That's the business model. To give you the printer cheap (and make them cheap) and then rape you for the ink cost. I just get the generic ink. I miss my dedicated scanner, but I don't have the room for it like I used to.

I somehow got added to a group chat on FB that includes family members that have been dead for a long time. It's actually quite annoying, there's like random conversations that should be private, like people talking about going over to someone's house or making plans for stuff or whatever. I don't even know half these people. Trying to get out of it but can't figure out how lol.
