I took in a feral some 9 years ago. Four weeks later she gave me a son. We celebrated our anniversary three weeks ago. Can't imagine life without them.

Yeah I make sure to. I dread when their time comes, honestly. I know it's eventually going to come, but I don't want it to. I hope when the time comes I'll be able to handle it better. They are in their 60's so still have decent time left though but still. Lost a lot of family a few years back, just kind of came all at once throughout a few years. Grandma on my dad's side and great grandma on my mom's sid. (she was 95ish, maybe 94) and other family. As far as grandparents I still have both grandparents on my mom's side, I should really visit them more often as well.

Haha they sometimes hint at that. But honestly I'm happy single and even if I got married at this point not sure if I'd want kids. I think they've accepted it at this point but I sometimes feel bad as they probably are kinda disappointed. But at least my sister gave them 3. I let her do all the work.

Though I almost feel a responsibility to keep the family name going. I have a cousin around my age and he's single too. Though he has had girlfriends but guess it just never works out for him.
