Did maintenance on my treadmill's belt (walking) this morning. Wife assisted with the light. I need to get an LED work light. I used to have this badass Light stand back in the day. Was full halogen and built like a tank. Heavy. But long skinny halogen bulbs are fragile. Had glass fronts. It even had a breakered outlet. Did I mention it was sweet? Any recommend modern day version?

This keyboard is badass. Love the build quality. The brown switches (MX) coupled with the dampening orings are not bad. I had really missed my old keycaps. To me, they are better than the painted on ones that they replaced. Plus, the characters are bigger and have some Chinese letter/symbol next to them. Cool.

Another great feature is a detachable usb cable. It's pretty heavy duty so I don't think my boy cat would chew on that. But if he does, Pedey better hide! :p I can just order replacement cable from monoprice or Amazon. Don't trust ebay for that. Do ebay when there is no other viable way. LOL

I hate weekend day shifts. Too much crap goes on and only one person to handle it all. Actually weekend shifts in general kinda suck because it seems to be when everything breaks.

Can you not move to days at this point in your career? I know you prefer a late schedule. Isn't that a bit antisocial? No offense.I love my cats, but value the company of humans as well.

I'm a night person so I prefer night shifts. Also prefer 12h shifts vs 8 since it means I get more time off. :D

But still have to work days sometimes. I find 5 day stretches can be really long, but give me 10+ nights and it's no problem. My body is just wired that way. Getting up early just murders me.

My coworkers like it though, most of them have kids so night shifts are more of a pain for them. We are 2 of us that prefer nights, possibly 3 soon as another coworker decided he might want to start working more nights too.

I bought a cheap plastic LED light at HD when I was working on my shed, can't find the exact one on their site but something like this: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.600-lumen-thin-led-clamp-light.1001065816.html

Worked pretty well, it feels kinda cheap though, but it gets the job done and is decently bright.

Just to show a general idea:

Though one thing I would like is some clamp LED lights that take 18650 cells. Then you can just move them around easily and not worry about cords. Essentially some lantern style flash lights, but with 18650s. One of these days I might buy a bunch of cheap lantern flash lights and then convert them to use LED and 18650 cells. If I get a spot welder I could even make my own battery packs.

There are LED laterns out there. I really want a shop light (flood) that is heavy duty and LED. Is there such a thing available? I haven't looked yet. But working on the treadmill this morning made me with I had a wide bright light to see my work.
