One of my Chromebook 2's would post just a black screen. I took it apart seeing if the LCD cable was messed up. It was just fine. I found out that holding ESC + Refresh + Power would boot into recovery mode. I'm an idiot, but an idiot with a fixed chromebook. I guess I'm not staying on Beta channel for updates.

Of all of my computers, I use my Thinkpad in sig the most. Anyone else use a netbook more than their powerful desktop?

Hell no. I use the rig in my sig more than anything. Love the power and capability. Really to figure a way to get my file server up and running. Wish I was just building the new one. But going to watch my Huskers play Northern Illinois tomorrow on FS1 and then hit the road on a road trip. Gonna hit central Texas and have dinner just outside Temple. We're going to spend the night and then go west to hit some more towns we haven't seen before. That and take lots of pics. DSLR's batteries are all charged up. Gonna be a fun ride.

I just have to sit at my desk to be on my PC. I can lay on the ground, be at the table, or do tasks with this little thing.

I'm one of those people who are going to have a VERY hard time upgrading my desktop again. I use it and it is so overkill for what I do with it. Rocket League, source games, Flight Sims... I could probably run two or three instances at a time and have good performance. Anything productivity related is instantaneous. Some evenings I'll be streaming to my TV, Gaming, and switching back and forth to browser with zero hiccups.

Cheap second-hand netbooks are finally interesting being APUs or Ivy Bridge performance levels.

I got tablets, large smartphones and a HTPC in the living room. They're great for consuming media while doing something else. But if I really want to do anything productive or just enjoy myself, I'm on the desktop. Clearly superior. It's like command central. No way I can do what it does on a tablet or smartphone.
