Finally finished stripping out that old pc. Kept the Zalman, the ram, the 300GB sata hdd and the ide dvd burners. Threw out both P180 cases. That is such a weird feeling. One wasn't mine, but the other has such memories. I believe I purchased it to house my first Athlon 64 processor. It was my first chip to hit 2Ghz, a Winchester core. I still have the CPU. When I upgraded to the Athlon 64 X2, I got the P182. I turned the P180 into my first file server. I have been running a personal file server now for over 10 years. I'm still having issues with the migration of the guts to the new case. I just haven't had the time to work on it. This new job is very demanding and I'm really wiped out each evening. I'm going to be busy this weekend, but I hope to get back on the project this coming week. Now, I just need (yet) another shoebox to throw all this old computer parts into. I wish I was getting the new mobo and CPUs right now. Can't stand that POS Foxconn mobo that is currently in my file server. That is really the crux of all my issues with the file server. I bought it because it has 2 PCI legacy slots for my controller cards.
