I wish we had a forum for life philosophy discussions honestly. I could use the discourse and help.

The best place for it is OT, and well... yeah. That's a non-starter.

Then, use those to set ratios for a phone. I like the 3:2, less fond of 3.33:2, so I use that preferred ratio, and came up with a 4.3" screen would need a massive 1200x800 pixels.

I mean, that would be one AMAZING display, but it'll never happen. That kind of cost would be stunning. Nobody will do it.

Exactly.

I need a forum for serious discussion where people who post stuff like that would be booted.

I don't really have a problem with the iPhone hardware. I have some issues with its interface, the little buttons on the edge, the death gap, the full glass coverings, and the single center button. My real issue is with the software, and the corporation's attitude of it.

P.S. Alfa, just don't.

The Galaxy Nexus is a massive phone, with borders above and below the screen.

WHY!?

And for the love of god, you freaking phone companies, stop making everything about a thinner phone, and give us bigger damn batteries.

We're probably going to go to France or Ireland early next fall, and we're likely going to New Orleans for the Final Four in April.

But still, I'd like to get her a gift. I suppose I could eliminate the "Accidental Damage" policy to cut about $150 off.

Titanium Backup, non-pro for some reason, is backing up all my apps.

Will it backup my other stuff, texts, contacts, pictures, downloads?

I do not know.

And where will it all be?

I'm reformatting the primary system fairly soon, and then I'll have to reset ADB and all sorts of shit.

I could just get parts for her existing laptop (new battery, new drive) and reload everything, but it is nearly 4 years old and she has complained about it a little.

This is the initial list I made for her:

--Laptop
--Fancy wind chime
--Ear rings
--Purse (unlikely at this stage, since she just bought one)
--Music gift cards (probably Amazon cards this year)
--Movies (Tangled, Harry Potter 7b, etc)
--Le Creuset Dutch Oven (find out size)
--Books or Kindle gift card
