Win10 mostly installed, just updating. OMG is it ever slow at updating lol. At least I'm not getting failure galore like I was in win7, I really don't know why win7 worked so horribly on that machine, normally win7 is super stable.

Also created a new vlan for when I work on computers, I didn't like putting a win10 machine on the same vlan as my own stuff. I want to setup a VM on that vlan that will have all the utilities, links etc to routine installation stuff. Just so it's all in one place. Going to make it a repository for images and stuff too, maybe even look at a PXE server. I don't work a lot on PCs now days but I may as well set myself up a little better for it.

you must search drivers by yourself, please be aware that you need to set BIOS to Legacy instead of UEFI, this can arise some hardware issues:

- video gprahic corruptions

- touchpad not working or having hiccups

- windows 7 drivers not availables

- Legacy is less safer than UEFI



windows 8.1 is a good OS, windows 10 is even better; i would suggest you to try a windows 10 clean install (after creating a recovery media to re-install windows 8.1 in the worst case).



you can also explain a little better, what do you meant with "here are also some problem with the OS even when upgraded to OS 10".

maybe a simple BIOS or drivers update can solve those issues.

I don't know if this helps any. Obviously, English is not the guy's first language. Click the link and see if it makes more sense. My guess is that the laptop is just not supported by Acer for Windows 7. I don't think they are doing that for the benefit of Microsoft.
