It's a mac. Auto fail.

Actually no, it's like comparing the iphone to android phones. Laptops are creaky pieces of plastic compared to this. It's well built. Sure it's expensive but you do get what you pay for. The lack of an IPS display (as well as true R-G-B LED backlight) is disappointing. I'm not even sure they have a 1920x1200 17" IPS panel available anywhere at the moment. I know Dell offers IPS in its 15" displays on precision mobile workstations.

I wish 1920x1080 displays would all just die though. HDTV resolution is not made for work dammit!

I may split up the drive (512GB SSD) and bootcamp it out with Win7 to see.

The MOTU mixer console we're using runs nice in Lion. The Win drivers have caught up but in 2007 with XP 64 it was kind of ridiculous. Running a show with that made me nervous.
