I tried the mes chair at Costco, its on sale for $74.99, if its the same one. It should be, they only carry one. The Bayside Metrex III now. My current chair a highback leather from Serta will be 4 years old in May. Bonded leather peeling off, but for a $300 chair, I feel it should have lasted longer.

Exactly. You paid $300 and for $300 it was a POS chair. I know. I've been there. I had a Thomasville branded chair. You're thinking luxury. In reality, some chinese company just paid them to use their name. I think I had a Serta in the past. Maybe early 2000's. It was very comfortable. No leather, but I could sit in it all day. My current chair is fantastic. It's made to support some big people. The cushion is firm, but you don't get imprints. I wish it was more adjustable like some of the better makes, but it is adjustable enough to work. At first I thought I'd miss the heavy padded arms of my past chairs. Found out that the firm, but slightly giving aproach was superior for long usage. You don't sweat and there are no major stress points. The only real negative is that some pin/spring in the left arm fell out. Also, the base has a hard plastic top that has sharp points that stick out from the wheels. Occasionally, they hurt hit my bare heels and hurt a lot. Other than that, I love this chair. Most comfortable chair ever. Can sit in this thing all day!

Most likely I will get a Leap for $199 used, I can still get a 5 year warranty from a liquidator place near by.
