So fluffy!

Saw something hilarious on the news. They're talking about security and computer networks and stuff, and they totally showed a telecom CO aisle with DMS100 racks which is a POTS switch. That has nothing to do with the type of computer networks they were referring to, thought it was interesting to see that kind of equipment on TV, not something that is typically shown. Most people would not know what it is.

Coffee nef.

Enough technical reading for tonight. Was reading a book on switching power supply design. Soooo much math, and that is my huge weakness. What I need to do is make myself a cheat sheet of all the formulas and what they're used for and what each variable means and how they relate to each other. At that point it might make it a bit easier. I eventually want to design my own 48v high output PSU system for my servers, and also 48v inverters. And possibly 48v charge controllers to inject solar into the 48v bus. All rackmountable (that stuff is hard to find, which is why I'll design it myself!). Of course, I'll want to start with lower power stuff first and perfect that. Probably start with a bench supply. I still don't have one of those other than a slightly modded ATX PSU.

Night shift almost over nef. I "only" get 3 days off after this (usually get 4) then start day shifts again. I really need to force myself up early (like 12pm instead of like 6pm) so I can transition back to day shift mode faster. I would try to just stay up altogether, that is a 1-day method of doing it, but it makes for a very very very rough day lol. I used to be able to do that when I was younger, but not anymore.
