i just dont see any reason yet to go to 10 tbh

Probably not, I've just been playing with it a lot since it came out.

It's hard for me to make a comparison really, but even the HTPC with the basic non insider Win10 on a X5650 is a lot faster than the Q9650 I guess.

That and she would never let me put a SSD in it, she likes it as is, even if it takes a few tries to even boot up with a WD Black now and then.

Frig, she plays with her new little Amazon Fire half the time these days when she comes home her mother got her for Christmas.

Does what she want it to do for most things I guess, with the wireless in the house and she can wander with it.

bought a 4tb drive on jan 1

It is already half filled. D:

Haha. I still need to look into adding more drives to my NAS. Shit's getting full yo.

Code:
[root@isengard ~]# df -hl
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vg_isengard-lv_root
                       50G 6.2G 41G 14% /
tmpfs 3.9G 0 3.9G 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sdn1 485M 157M 303M 35% /boot
/dev/mapper/vg_isengard-lv_home
                       53G 180M 50G 1% /home
/dev/md0 5.4T 4.8T 376G 93% /volumes/raid1
/dev/md1 6.3T 5.0T 1.1T 83% /volumes/raid2
/dev/md3 7.2T 1.2T 5.7T 18% /volumes/raid3
[root@isengard ~]#

I'm still toying with the idea of turning it into a SAN too and give up NFS for iSCSI, and do block storage to the VM server. I want it to be sharable though in case I get more than one VM host. I want to be able to do live migrations. Need a cluster aware FS for that.

I find I get performance issues during backup jobs. There's too many file system layers when using NFS. Basically: [local FS] -> [NFS] -> [VM disk] -> [VM's local FS]

In some cases VMs then export to NFS or SMB to be shared out lol.

Add ssd as secobd drive, boot off it but leave spinner as c drive :awe:

Nah Ultima Online. We added a revamped champion spawn system, basically bosses around the game that you can do at any time. There was an issue where the spawn would turn off half way through, but I think I fixed it now. :D

all I can remember from Ultima was Ultima 3.
