45 minutes and I'm done my day shifts and get 3 days off, well 4 sorta, since I start night shifts after.

So tired, I think I'll practically crash as soon as I get home. the early mornings are a real killer. Glad I don't have to do them every day like most people. I'm just not designed for it.

I'm not designed for night shifts myself.

Maybe not even working in a tool room anymore, I'm just sick of it.

Might look elsewhere.

Been doing that stuff so long I'm sick of it.

Arg, forgot I have to fix my uncle's computer. Freak I hate working on other people's computers. It's just not worth my time. The windows ecosystem right now is complete garbage, there are no good ways to protect from spyware, AV tools don't catch spyware and they are all garbage anyway. So I fix it, only for it to come back later. If I had a lot of money I would start a company that specializes and fixing computers so I can outsource everything to that company when people ask me stuff. Thing is, there's no money in that, nobody does it in town. So everyone comes to me.

To make matters worse there's some family conflict going on with that particular uncle, I don't even want to talk to him especially when everything is so fresh. I was not part of said conflict but he'll probably bring it up and want me to side with him.

Oh the night shifts I actually love, because I can sleep in. It's the day shifts that kill me, because of having to get up early. I find it's cumalative, the first one is not too bad, second one I'm more tired, third one is worse and by fourth I'm hitting nails trying to stay awake all day. Did 4 weeks straight of day shifts once, that was brutal.

I'd have so much trouble having to go back to a 8*5 job though, I have it made with this job so can't complain.

A few are around.

Hell when I went through my apprenticeship years ago it was 7 to 5, 5 days a week and 5 on Saturdays, 55 hours was standard, and that wasn't counting the 6 hours spent in class a couple of nights a week.

Used to do some some 70 hour weeks, even when I was doing 55 I was playing in a band on the side most of the time I rarely slept I guess.

I'm getting too old for this shit these days.

Feel like I just survived a saw movie...had to crawl for hours through a dark hole full of animal poop, fiberglass, nails, screws, broken bulbs, and who knows what else. This last bit after nearly 3 weeks of tearing apart and rebuilding a house from the roof down with pretty much all hand tools. I'm tired and beat up, but I survived...I won.
