This is mine, from work, while VPNed into my house. :p

My home connection is actually 50/30 but the VPN will reduce it to the upload speed as downloading is technically uploading too.

I was simply defending america's virtue by showing that canadian why america is better.

I can get up to 250 if I want to. :p The same ISP in other parts of the country is now offering 400/350 or something like that. No caps either. Honestly I'm happy with my connection though, not allowed to run any public facing servers so I'm not even using the current connection to it's max. I wish I could just run all my web stuff right from home but most ISPs don't allow it unfortunately. If I went with DSL business I could, but... it's DSL. :p

wish I can get fttp...

Yeah it's kind of funny that we got it here, I never figured I'd live to see the day it happens.

I called literally the day they were running the feeder cables lol. I work for the ISP so I got to see the process inside the CO too, it was really exciting to see it go in. Had to sign a NDA at the time but pretty much the whole town knew anyway, you can't really miss all the trucks running fibre everywhere. Unfortunately they only did aerial cable plant so anyone who is underground fed can't get it.

Yeah, they offer 500/500 here, but it's $285 a month.

$195 a month for 300/300

$125 a month for 150/150

$75 a month for 75/75

$65 a month for 50/50

$55 a month for 25/25

Though with our bundle and discount we end up paying less, that's the standard fees.

Except I'm in America too, pay for 25/5 here.
Highest I've seen is 18/5, typical is probably 6/2.
You've seen the lows, and it happens far to often.

25/5 is like $90/month here...near Seattle WA, not some farm out in the sticks.

One thing about my ISP the speeds are very consistent. Every time I do a speed test it's as advertised. My only complaint is that the DHCP lease time is about 10 minutes. If I actually manage to saturate my connection for more than 10 minutes, the DHCP renew wont go through and then I lose my IP and the connection dies. Ex: a very large file transfer or something. I should play with qos on my firewall, just never bothered to as it's rare I make transfers that last that long.

I did it a lot at first. Clocked a couple TB in less than a week when I first got it.

Funny thing is, I actually ran out of stuff that I even want to transfer. So many movies Linux distros I did not even watch install yet. :p

Im always updating games, downloading new games, watching movies, etc.

I tend to rotate my games on&off my SSD, so I do a decent bit of redownloading, not a big deal with 10MB/s+ downloads :p
