I hope Danish Oil doesn't react badly to water based stain.

Told the wife to pick some up for a finish, used to use it a lot when renovating antiques long ago.

Went out in the garage, didn't realize I had bought water based stain the other day.

Find out soon I guess, will try it out on a small section.

Went perfect, I love Danish Oil. used to work for an old farmer that had an antique business going when I was 16, he'd buy old furniture and I would pull hails out of the woodpile of old hardwood he had around when I was starting off, my dad hooked me up with him at the time to help him out.

The whole old second house out back was just full of antiques for sale, people would make appointments to come look at the furniture.

How I learned to keep track of my time, he had me write it down in a log, his wife always had a fantastic lunch everyday, I worked my butt off but learned a lot att.

At any rate we used Dansih Oil on everything, the wife came out and looked at it and said "You're going to put your drum set on that ? If you put 4 legs on it would make a nice dining room table."

Does need a few more coats 🙂

Even put a little on the set, looks good might be ripping things apart again just for that when I do it.
