The nice thing about shift work, is week days don't matter any more. Monday this week is my Friday, then I'll be off for 4 days. Well 3, the first one does not really count since I'm getting off night shift so I sleep. But my next shifts are night too so the day I start is like a day off.
I used to dread Mondays at my last job. We'd normally get a 1-2 hour blast from the IT manager about things that may have happened over the weekend. Stupid stuff, like if a mouse stopped working and someone got called out to go replace it. He'd go on about how incompetent we are for installing mice that break down, and how the call out took over an hour before someone went etc.. He was generally in war path mode too about whatever needed to be done for the week.
Working nights is pretty cool except that I have school age kids. Hours definately get cut into when you're working when they're sleeping and sleeping when they get home etc.
I could probably adjust my schedule a bit to see them more but then they start getting wound up and it makes me angry so I just leave the wife to deal with it and go to sleep. :awe:
skipping the staff meeting
I'm too tired to listen to that shit today.
