Just bought a Dell Inspiron 6000 for $20 on Craigslist. I will have to swap out the mechanical HDD for an SSD, but it's going to be completely worth it. A nice 1280x800 15" screen, 1.6Ghz Pentium M, 2GB DDR2, but the crap thing is the 20GB 5400RPM HDD. Slow, slow, slow. Even with XP. Once the HDD thrashing is done the PC seems rather capable. The battery will need a replacement as well.

Another $15 for the battery, $45 for the SSD and $13 for the optical->SATA HDD caddy and I'm set!

Just started playing The Crew (it's a new MMO driving game from Ubisoft..I got in on the PC beta test.)

Even though it's really rough this early in development..it's still a lot of fun.
(It's being released mid-November 2014.)

Can't believe it's this much fun to play,even in beta.

The final version will be amazing.
