I can probably add a couple more drives to my raid arrays, for kicks.

Code:
[ryan@isengard ~]$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vg_isengard-lv_root
                       50G 4.3G 43G 10% /
tmpfs 3.9G 0 3.9G 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sde1 485M 38M 422M 9% /boot
/dev/mapper/vg_isengard-lv_home
                       53G 180M 50G 1% /home
/dev/md0 5.4T 3.4T 1.8T 67% /volumes/raid1
/dev/md1 6.3T 3.9T 2.1T 65% /volumes/raid2

Your numbers are from early 2000 right?

That's right now. raid1 is a raid 10 with 4 3TB drives, raid2 is a raid 5 with 8 1TB drives. I could easily add more space but I just add more as I actually need it. Drive manufacturer ratings are also missleading, 1KB means 1000 bytes, when in reality 1KB is 1024 bytes. So when they say 1TB they actually mean 1 billion bytes, when it should actually be more. A 1TB drives is in reality about 900GB.

Chilly in here today.

I kinda forgot to set my last schedule into my hvac control system so it reverted to the default which is 10c. :awe: It's ok, I have to sleep now, it's awesome being in the warm bed when it's 10c in the house lol.
