Not a bad camera, I have used the 7D not extensively but for a good 100-200 shots and it takes wonderful pictures.

And depending on which lens you have you're looking at $2000-2500 if you were paying for it all new.

Yeah, but it's at least that's $5k you're entitled to even if something were to happen. For me if I lost my job for any reason I'd get two pay checks ~$500 and i'd be shit out of luck. It sucks for you cause you expected that money, but it's not as if they can keep it forever, it might require lawyering up to get it (hopefully not) but one way or another you'll get the money, patience is a virtue as they say, though I don't hold stock in that personally.

Yea...they are good for it. I'm just used to getting paid earlier in the week, and now this happens. I'm already running short.
