The canon 1.4 is a 4/10 the sigma is a 6.5/10

It's a Sigma EX line lens which is suppose to be their top of the line lens collection. Build quality is similar to a Canon L series. The only problems is that sometime the AF is off. Good thing it comes with a 4 year warrantee

Especially when you compair a non-canon lens to a canon L

The Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM Lens is a really nice lens, but it is going to burden your wallet significantly more and will not deliver image quality much or any better than the Sigma
