soo much stuff going down right now

Wish I could tell more but it looks like I will be out of town for at least a week, maybe longer.

take a trailer with you and track it :whiste:

Those fuckers are still draining battery so fast that the chargers can't keep up. Less than 12 hours and the batteries are gone. I have them wired to charge off solar AND the power when a vehicle is towing it. But they get towed once a week max.

So I need to put extra batteries in them but the trailers are all out in the field and it hasn't been a priority.

Details of the new thing will be public on Monday. But by then I will probably be on the road.

you can change the reporting interval no? Less reporting equals less drain. Also see if you can change the locating interval to be controlled by speed.

They only report when they move outside the boundary I have set up. Its about a 30' perimeter.

No idea what is draining them so fast. Unless the GPS is pinging like crazy? I really don't know and really haven't had a chance to test since they all die within a day of shipping out. I can get a $50 deep cycle battery that will give them plenty of reserve and solve the issue. Might need to get a cheap regulator too.

But we need them here for that and I haven't seen any in a while now.

It's the position fixing that chews battery. See if that is configurable.
