It's crossed my mind to try to get an electrical apprenticeship on the side so I can get my hours and get my papers. My job is kind of unique and if I lost it, I would have trouble finding something in my field here. Even if I went back to IT, there's not much IT jobs. Electrical work is always something that's needed, whether it's residential or commercial.

It's a good job. Residential work is hard as fuck, but I'm sticking with it. There's always electrical work to be done, and the electrical "everything" boom is right around the corner.
 
Secret Santa gifts ordered. I probably spent more than I should but oh well.

Also ordered the bulk of lil rudeguys new rig and the presents for my niece and nephew. Never ordered stuff this early before...

Now I just need to figure out the cpu/mobo combo. And the video card...I want to get him a 770 but I don't know if I can really afford it. Maybe if I don't get him an ssd.....hmmm.....

Ssd is more important than GPU in my opinion. I use a q6600 and 9800gtx with a 240gb SSD. Without the SSD it would be almost unbearably slow, with the SSD though and I could comfortably play the recent skyrimesque MMO beta with medium settings at 1080p

HD7950 or even HD7870 are still solid at 1920x1080
