I miss going to Chicago all the time. Feel more at home in the city more than I ever have here in the suburbs. I don't belong here.
I really wanna move closer to the city. I don't know about living in the city. But halfway closer would be nice.
2 hour round trip drive to visit Chicago can kick my ass pretty quickly if I'm going more than once or twice a month.

2 hours left in my night shift. Was a fairly quiet night for once. Been busy lately. Yesterday I had a 400 pair cable hit by a backhoe, and later on a microwave link failure. The cable was the biggest issue though, caused a bunch of other issues such as bringing down the 2 T1's feeding a cell site and also a power generating station fed via microwave from that site. Did not want to just assume it was the cable so still had to get techs out and stuff and coordinate. Fun stuff.

Tonight was fairly uneventful. *touch wood*. One more night to go then I'm off for a few days.
