Im finally getting settled into my new apt. I sprained my ankle somewhere along the lined though as it hurts real fucking bad.

Do you think people 200 years ago will be able to access all of these posts?

yes, unless there is world ending type destruction. I can't see the internet going away, if it did the data would be migrated over to whatever interface we use then, personal mind controlled internet or whatever the fuck we have then.

I was happy as hell when geocities finally shutdown and deleted all their content.

I had an embarrassingly bad homepage created in the mid-90's, and it was always a top result whenever someone google'd my name. but I couldn't do anything about it, since I had forgotten the password and the email account used to create it was defunct.

my boss asked me if I'd be interested in taking over my departing colleague's schedule, but said he'd want to change it to M-F and make me give up my 10-hr/4-day schedule (currently, I work Sun-Wed)... but, it could involve transitioning into more of a senior-level role instead of just being a guy who bangs out tickets.

Same number of hours with chance of advancement but slightly different than current hours? I say go for it unless you plan on leaving the company in the next few months anyway.

yeah, definitely... I can't turn it down, but I will really miss having 3 days off every week.

it makes shopping, scheduling doctor appointments, and all that really easy (also gives me an extra 3 days worth of vacation time, since it's allocated by the day regardless of your hours -- eg: whether I work 4 days/week or 5 days/week, I get 15 vacation days)
