It took on a mind of its' own after a certain point. No matter how much I combed or played with it.

It seemed its' worst around 3-4 months. My hair is wavy & it began getting unruly at that point. By 5-6mo its' length was overcoming the wave to where I could mess with it & wouldn't fight back too much.
Next time I grow it out like that again, am going to try trimming it, although I'm still a bit scared that I'll fuck it up & end up starting from nothing all over again.
