A common trend I keep seeing appear in relation to PS3 games & extras. Is that a lot of games come with codes to redeem on PSN. But when reselling games, the value is effectively & drastically chopped.
Was going to go for GOW Saga Collection until saw they pulled that with the COO & GOS. Shitty balls.
Sounds like current gen reselling got the shaft pretty hard when it comes to this.

Theres already been several articles on the internet about this.
Cracked has a great one. I think its called "Why gaming is going to suck in the future".

Occasionally try to look up stuff, but my searches come up null.
Doesn't seem like consoles offer deeply discounted sales on digital downloads, like Steam does.

Yea.
Have read something on occasion along these lines over the years. But never really paid it any mind.
Have exclusively been a PC gamer over the years. While PC gamers always get the shaft on one of thing or another. Console gamers sound like they are getting it just as bad now.

game makers hate the used game market.
Yep.

PC was well ahead when it comes to going the way of digital downloads.

I really wouldn't mind if consoles went the way of digital download only, at this rate, they will be. Maybe not this next generation, as much as after that. But they really just need to constantly flood those deep discount offers like Steam does.

Developers do their best to inconvenience bootleggers, but end up pissing on legit gamers in the process too.
Have been saying for years that PC developers just need to abandon physical media & go digital download only, if they want to effectively combat pirating.

I shouldn't target game makers alone... I'm sure music companies and publishers would also love to see the used CD/book markets disappear forever because they don't get a cut of those sales.

I think newest game I've played recently was released in 2010.
The 3rd Birthday on PSP.

Not a bad game per say. But being a Parasite Eve fan, I found myself disappointed.
It also didn't pull any traffic whatsoever. Meh.
