And in the brief minute to type that message, three of my defense worlds died. Those things can't be touched by anything less than 200 ships in a single mass attack; the AI is not capable of using mass attacks, so, the game bugged while I wasn't looking. *sigh*

They didn't vanish. They were taken over by the AI to attack your defense worlds

Gronkowski and Crumpler were both MIA, I did like to see Hernendez on the field, it means he's fighting for his position, and I want to see him gone.

Yes, he had decent numbers last year, and sometimes he can do good blocking, catching, running, whatever... but he had two sloppy fumbles last night, and he had a lot of big drops last year. ICF, think Pierre Garcon - he misses the easy shit.

Brian Hoyer is entering the last year of his contract, he was an undrafted free agent. Ryan Mallett was a third round pick this year.

Hoyer showed over the past two years he's a little more willing to scramble, and he's not bad per se, just a far cry from Brady's abilities. Apparently, during the lockout, he was leading team exercise sessions at a local gym facility. Good teammate, average player.

Mallett, on the other hand, looks like he's trying to copy Brady. Looks like him standing the pocket, although taller, drops back in similar fashion, stands and bounces a bit while waiting to pass, looked almost exactly like him for a moment. He has the arm range, I think the accuracy is there, he just needs to get a feel for how players have to adjust their routes. As a teammate, he's an unknown quantity.

My impression is that Mallett, given a couple years, will become a much better QB than Hoyer can attain. When we're done with Hoyer, he might be somebody else's backup, but I don't see another Cassel in him. Mallett might be.

All that being said, we should've gotten Mark Ingram. Nate Solder did fine, but we need a big RB.

Also, Ingram is younger than me.

This is a little strange.

I know, for most of you guys, athletes being younger than you is normal, but for me, this is new, and weird.

"As he has done throughout camp these first two weeks, Fletcher looked impressive, often shooting gaps into the backfield and making five total tackles, two of which were for losses. He admitted afterward, though, that being the leader of the defensive 11 was challenging."

Oh good, he can even admit his own shortcomings and difficulties. That makes him better IMO.

That's one thing I dread about building my new rig.

I didnt build anything new. Freaking junk OCZ solid state drive died on me.
If you are using SSD in your new system, I recommend the latest gen Intel drives. They're expensive, but the best quality you can get right now.

Ah yes, the sloppy PAT. I didn't know whether the snapper sent it too high, or Mesko missed it - this report says too high. Ball goes tumbling away, and Gostkowski and Mesko are just so slow coming after it. Gostkowski doesn't look behind himself either to see he's getting run down, and gets shoved away instead of doing something useful. After a bit more bouncing and diving, Mesko manages to kick it right off the sidelines into our bench, great kick for the purpose, and it worked out just fine.

Two Jags went for helmet hits, leaving Chris Cox trying to stand but unable to without a delay and a lot of helping hands, the other overturning an INT - the interception was not caused by the QB/WR, but by the Jag driving his helmet between the arms below the ball and into the receiver's chin, after which another Jag scooped the ball up. No apparent injury.

I am not moving to SSD any time soon.

My interest in that thread is solely that I'd like to wreck Mila's train.

Does that even make sense? I'm not sure.

Put my engine in her caboose?

Better?

The engine is always supposed to be at the front of the train. Just say that you'd like to unload your cargo.
