Guy brought his camera in a week ago for an estimate.
Already fixed up an estimate for it, but boss didn't call them back. So they decided to stop in for an update. Shitty.
I'm strongly against trying to repair the camera. Last one we tried was a disaster, even though it seemed crazy easy until all went wrong.
Just needs button thing replaced, but to do so you have to take most of the camera apart.
I know we need money, and my boss always enjoys a challenge like this, but I see this more than likely to end badly.
He could easily bootleg rig it to work, it wouldn't be pretty, but it would do the job.
Either he's going to break something else while trying to repair it, and/or he's going to continually get up & do something else amidst repair, possibly leaving it all open disassembled, parts all over, for days. I wouldn't doubt this.
