What the fuck did they do to this fucking thing?

Takes like 10 minutes just for the BIOS boot prompt thing to appear for a split second, by the time it does, I wasn't really paying attention.
Then another 10 minutes to boot into OS.

OK. I see.
Was taking so long to boot because it wasn't playing nice with an external USB optical drive. Tried a different one, but it doesn't even want to recognize it as an operable/bootable device.
The internal optical is fucked. They need a new one. No way around that.
Although from how it sounded with customer, if price goes up any more, they won't go for it.

I just realized I'm not going to miss a full week of work when I go on vacation next month.

that sucks D:

I'm taking off the last half of one week and the first half of the next because I'm working around my friend's stupid spring break schedule.

lulz, some dude in Thailand sent an email with very sensitive and confidential info to the whole Latin American and Caribbean department...I wonder if they'll fire him.

Put HD in another laptop to format it. Hopefully should be alright running on its generic drivers when put it back into its own machine.

Unfortunately, Windows removed WMM for some reason, and I no longer have Goldwave, so I don't have a good method to edit audio files, which is necessary for a few of the songs I want.

for academic purposes? because there are programs available that do that already ;)

There are websites that do it, but that isn't the solution I want.

There are money costing programs that do it, but that defeats the purpose.

So I found a free video downloader, and a free limited version program to extract the audio.
