Yeah sorry. G620 processor, not Lenovo G620 lol THAT would be insane.

Yep, Intel Sandy Bridge.

Ps, can anyone explain why a large no of motherboards are incompatible w/ Macs?

I'm a stupid noob guys. :(

two answers:
1. to ensure quality and performance
2. Apple likes it that way. It keeps it an exclusive club while giving the impression that you can build your own.
3. if cloning does become a reality, an Apple user will be the first one to do it. Just so they can have someone to wait in line for them...

I see. Apple develops systems that are very enclosed. Makes sense in a way, but it just seems very elitist to me, as someone who uses Linux.

Yeah, what's up with the fanboys? I guess it ties into the whole "Apple club" idea u said.

Thx guys.

Its the perfect business model. They are the BMW of computers. They look nice, do some cool stuff but don't really do anything that something half the price wouldn't do. But they have a very loyal following who will buy anything will the name on it.

Heck, one of the guys at work sold his iPad 2 last month just so he could get an iPad 3. No specs, no idea on cost, no release date but he sold his beloved possession so he could get the new one if/when it comes out. The guy is very intelligent, way cool and in all other ways normal. Well he does wear those shoes with the toes in them. I guess that's not normal.

Huh. Well call me a meat and potatoes type guy, I could probably not understand it. A computer is a machine to me, sth cool to play on but I don't identify with it.

a good computer is an extension of you, just like any other tool. I used to spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours on my rigs. Now...now I'm just old and don't care. I'm typing on a 5 year old laptop that does what I need it to most of the time. My son has a nice gaming rig but I never touch it. Now my cell phone and guns are much more important than my computer.

Yay. My gaming desktop runs a lot better than my netbook, when trying to work on these videos. As expected.
However, this means I will be spending A LOT more time sitting at work, working on my own YouTube stuff. Since I can't take my desktop to my grandma's, and stuff.
