FINALLY got my 3TB drive.
Now for the enjoyable process of copying over two 1TB drives.

Wish I had gotten a USB 3 or eSATA instead of USB 2.
Its only using half its bandwidth.

err, rip out drive and connect to internal sata?

Its one of those special kind that breaks if you try ripping off the case or connectors.
Just as well, I looked up the model number online and its actually built with a poor quality drive anyway, thats how they were able to give me such a good price for three terabytes PLUS the case.

this is why I build my own ext drives.
