other than banks, I can't think of anything closed
my company is always open (I'm under the "support" umbrella for a web hosting company), but we're on a skeleton crew today.

holidays are usually on a volunteer basis in my department, unless my boss can't get anyone to volunteer.

since it's double time, though. I'm here... I might have taken the day off if I'd known my boyfriend was going to be home doing nothing all day, but I thought he was going to be working as well.

my guess: no.

most hipster bars/websites/whatever that I've seen seem to be predominantly populated by straight guys trying to get laid.

they may or may not employ fauxsexuality to achieve their aims.

I think certain instances it could be true. Like individuals in the 20 - 25 range.
Most of the lesbians I've meet here are VERY hipster. They are also Liberal Arts majors.
