Went to the registrar's.

I almost laughed when I walked in the door - alfa, the front desk was occupied by a 50-ish black woman.

She enrolled me in the lab section I want, since it opened between last night and this morning, and put me on the wait list, position #2, for the chem section.

I asked her what if the wait list never opens, she said sorry, you don't get in. Well, not a very good answer, but my impression was that she has very limited power. So hopefully I'll get in, but I'm not terribly optimistic.

I really would like to see Peyton Manning have one or two more good years, installed in a team that is already decent, just missing a QB. Let's see what kind of stupidly high records he can set with a good coach and a good supporting cast, before he has to retire.

So, 49ers or Ravens. Either one would suddenly deliver beastly rapings to every other team.

The Bears, certainly not, there's no offensive line.

Beyond that, nobody else has such a dire need for a QB to suddenly make the team come together.

Installed a sound meter to my phone, running about 60-65 db while typing. 30-33 by my head just from the computer fans. Near the computer tower is about 45.

Found a comparison chart that says a library is 40 dB. There is no way my computer is quieter than a library.
