My school updated their website. The normal academic calendar is gone, replaced by an events calendar, that is flooded with unnecessary information, and not a word about the academic timeline.

The only way to get to the calendar is to somehow find the registrar's page... or really, Google search from outside the site.

Classes start Monday. :awe:

I just had an idea - if I wait on my schedule changes and such nonsense until Monday, I can actually go to campus, go to the classes I want, and enroll in person to EE.

My options are email the chair of the department, who, from all previous emails, is a colossal prick, or go to the EE office in person. In person, I can actually take a declaration of major form with me, fully filled out, and drop it off, which technically is a required step anyways, and if the chair is there, I could end up encountering him, and it is harder to say no to people in person. Plus I'll come off a lot better in person, because I don't look as much like the average hungover slobby college student.

Opinion on what?

1) I have an email chain with the EE chair at my college, that lists three requirements for joining the major. Quote that email, send it back to him, request enrollment. Then he'll (more likely) be a dick and find an excuse to say no, or he'll say I need to fill out a declaration of major form and bring it to the EE office on Monday.

2) Fill out declaration of major form and take it to EE office on Monday, and see what the secretaries tell me to do with it from there.

...written like that, 2 sounds a lot more efficient.

And having the paper in hand, and my presence in the office, gives me a little momentum.

Plus if I have to talk to the chair, I'm going to have better luck in person than via email. It's easy to be a dick when you're sitting safely anonymous behind a computer screen.
