The NC PRHT would be expensive to buy, but anyways, it'd weigh about 2650 at the end, which, for 400 WHP, gets 6.6 lbs/HP. That's acceptable. 300 WHP would be 8.8 lbs/HP, which is getting too high.

I know, high is relative, but I'd want this thing to be able to crush Corvettes, Mustangs, Bimmers, and Rexes.

2650 is curb weight, so that's wet... I don't know what it does about the fuel, I assume half tank or better. With a driver, that's going to be about 2800 pounds.

That means 570 RWHP to hit 5 lbs/HP.

That is ONLY forced induction territory.

LS376/480 gets 415 RWHP... FAST, underdrive, intake filter, full exhaust, and you could probably be looking at 450 RWHP. 6.3 lbs/HP. Yep, there's a winner.

Or just do the LS2, full exhaust, cam, tune... aim to reach 400-415 RWHP, and call it finished at less money. Should still be tons of power.

A used LS3 should be comparable to a used LS2 with modded parts... except for the Corvette tax. The LS2 can be found in other vehicles besides a Corvette, but the LS3 is only a Corvette motor. Making it into an LS376/480 is just a $500 camshaft mod.

Other consideration... $18000 for the NC PRHT, or $10000 for the NB ragtop. The NB then needs frame strengthening, and more suspension work, as well as ending up as an uglier car, with a roll bar, but sans hard top, with that awful soft top. (I hate soft tops.)

Let's see... for wildcard weekend, I took Saints over Lions, passed on Bengals/Texans, edged Giants over Falcons (per home location), and Steelers over Broncos.

So 2-1-1. Although my idea was the Falcons to be competitive, but whatever, win is win.

This weekend, I took Pats, Ravens, those are the easy ones. But I also said Saints over Niners, and Pack over Giants.

So I'm 2-1, with pending.
