Car show was a bit of a disappointment. Between going two years in a row, and more importantly, test driving upwards of twenty cars, it wasn't all that interesting.

The GM cars still feel cheap, and the bodies are all HUGE. GM is not getting it.

The ZR1 was, of course, interesting, although you couldn't get into it. 15" carbon fiber brakes. The only Corvette you could sit in was a Grand Sport convertible. Last year, they had a Z06 and a GS to sit in, plus a ZR1 display.

Cadillac put the only CTS-V up on a spinner; last year you could actually sit in it.

Lexus had an LF-A, up on a platform of course. This year though, they had an IS250 and IS350 to sit in. I wasn't impressed by either vehicle. The dash is high, the windshield restricted, and the interior wasn't very good.

Infiniti was a disappointment. Still no JX, just a bunch of G's, one EX, no FX, no QX, one M.

BMW 335i was very quiet inside, aside from the door already being broken, something rattling inside of it. Pretty small segment though, not a lot of cars.

Bypassed Audi and Acura. Dad liked a Volvo.

Aventador was incredible, a dusky matte gray, very impressive car. Wandered through the exotics and hot rods segment.

Kia Optima wasn't bad. Hyundai Sonata went downhill from last year. The materials inside feel cheaper. Hyundai Genesis coupe also didn't seem as good.

Nissan didn't even bring a 370Z, and there was not GT-R. Last year there was at least a 370Z. Maxima was in pearl white, so no pictures. The only Altima was a stripped down car, and still cost over $25k. The big pushes were the Leaf and the Murano Cabriolet.

The BRZ/FT-86/FR-S did not make an appearance.

The new Impreza front looks absolutely awful.

The WRX seats are really comfortable on the new widebody, and the whole car felt good. Do like... except under the hood! Lift it up, and you find the transmission is showing inside the engine bay, and the engine is right up to the radiator, leaving a ton of dead space by the firewall.

Dear Subaru,
PUT A BIGGER FUCKING MOTOR IN YOUR CARS!

All the shifter knobs were missing, so for the handful of manuals - Genesis, WRX, MS3, MX-5 - you couldn't even play with the shifter at all. I know why they do it, but figure something out already.

MS3 was actually less comfortable than the WRX, didn't feel nearly as good. Just put its motor in the WRX, and its transmission, and I'd be a lot happier.
