NY? Or NYC? The city is a lonnnng way from my end of the state. (just mapped out a trip to long island this weekend; 14 hours driving round trip.)

that's nuts that i can go round trip from central KY to DET in 12, but you can't go round trip in your state in the same

upstaters haven't learned about the gas pedal yet.

hiromizu - what's at Chelsea Piers Gold club (besides golf)? Do they have a restaurant where we all can eat? We also gotta keep in mind that some ATOTers who might join are not 21 yet, so we have to make sure everyone is allowed.

Juno - If it was during the weekend, I would have been more than happy to pick you up. Unfortunately, I take the subway to work during the weekdays and won't have my car with me.

Coquito - I hope you give one of us a call this time if you show up. :)

They have a bar with pretty decent home brew right next to the club. There's also an adults only club Privilege nearby but they may have closed recently. I actually didn't consider the kids under 21..they can go bowling and have a separate party meet.

Count me in for sure ...

what kind of a place are we looking to hang out in?

my personal pref. would be yakitori taisho in Astor Pl / St. Mark's - decent prices & we could see how many people man up to eat the raw octopus in wasabi sauce (no kidding)

IBTM (In Before The Meet)

But seriously, I don't know the best way to do this. I personally hate bars because they are loud (thus I can't hear well) and they force me to talk loud (causing me to go hoarse). I might be a pansy complainer, but that's just my opinion on bars. But then on the other hand, at ESPN Zone, at the long table, it was impossible to talk to people way down at the other end. So you really can't win.

I'm good for a weekday evening (other than Friday), or possibly a Sunday.

And if Zim is planning to get drunk, I'll be there!

Glad to see people posting in this thread.

So everyone wants to meet up on a different day of the week, so I think we should stick with the original plan and have the meet on a Sunday. After all, that's what worked the last time.

Let's shoot for August 19th at 6:00pm somewhere in Midtown Manhattan. Let's here more suggestions on a restaurant/bar.

I traded the Aston Martin for a Bentley but unfortunately my driver has the month off so i wont be able to bring it at the meet. :)
