Nah, Physics isn't needed. A little logic, a dash of Home Depot, a sizable helping of manual labor, and you're good to go.
 
Let's see... two sawhorses, a circular saw, a 6+ foot level, a trowel, a mixing tub, concrete mix, tape measure, rented jack, probably two lally columns... good start.
 
Okay, if I win the lottery, where am I moving?

1) There will be water. Unfortunately, this tends to mean people, especially for a larger/nicer body of water. However, this is the largest elimination of locations by far.
