Padres lost and Rockies won so that forces a tie breaker game tomorrow at Colorado to determine the NL Wildcard winner.

Go Rockies! I hope they win tomorrow night.

If the Rockies can make it in and their bats can keep this up, I see no reason why they do not have a very legitimate shot at making it to the World Series.

someone explain to me why the red sox are play the angels instead of the yankees in the first round.

the Yankees are the wild card. Boston is more or less the #1 seed. most wins + win head to head match ups with cleveland.

Because the way it is run, if the wildcard and best record are in the same division they cannot meet in the first round.

Not since the Bartman incident have I heard a more quiet playoff game. Why does TBS have the games? At least Comcast just gave us a TBS HD channel. But even for local games, the Cubs / Diamondbacks game tonight will not be on broadcast tv in Chicago... Well, on the other hand, I always hated Fox broadcasts soooo much, TBS should be a huge step up, but they still should put the game on a total broadcast station.

Yeah, they should follow the NFL model where even though the game is on cable, the cities in the contest will have their game shown on a local channel.

Back to back homers by the Phils. One of them as the announcer Joe Simpson says..a Citizens Bank Park special.

Huh, they've got Steve Stone announcing the Red Sox / Angels game. I'm sure there's some agreement behind closed doors that Stoney won't be broadcasting the Cubs games, but that's another story for another day. Anyways, listen to this guy, he knows this game arguably better than anyone else in broadcast or media.

First time hearing Stone. He seems fine. I always liked Ted Robinson when he did Mets games for a couple of years. Very professional voice and always does a good job (and also does the Tennis US Open).

As for the game Josh Beckett is mowing the Angels down big time. Great pitching by Josh and he's got his A game tonight.

Pay attention to Zambrano here tonight. Kinda wild in the first inning, but I've never seen such movement on his pitches all season.

So how about those Rockies?? They trashed the Phils 10-5 to take the first two games of the series.

The Dbacks are up by one game against the Cubs.

First Yanks/Indians game just started with a leadoff homer by Johnny Damon.
